Geomancy an exploration of geologic fissures, transects, and human/stone embodiments. Geomancy is defined as the art of placing stones and a form of earth divination used to interpret geologic features. Inspired by the landslide at Big Sur and its refusal to be stabilized through human interventions, the color palettes of geologic maps, the hues of the stones, and the human/lithic desire to go beneath ground, this work is divided into three sections that examine human/stone relations: transects, merge/divide, disappearance. Originally screened as a single channel video, it can be installed as a 3-channel video installation. ​​
