The Materiality of Sacredness was an installation that invited participants to engage with various objects and prompts concerning intimacy, reciprocity and sacredness. Participants often booked 30-minute sessions with me in the gallery space where we shared deeper dialogues about the prompts and co-created a space of vulnerability in the gallery space. The project culminated in a public performance incorporating participant's contributions.
This project was conceived during a two-week residency at the at the Student Union Gallery at UMASS, Amherst. February 2018.
